Ghostbusters 3 in production?

In a report on Ain't it Cool News (http://www.aintitcool.com), production on "Ghostubsters 3" may very well happen this year but nothing is definite yet. Says Aykroyd to the Boston Globe:
"Script is commenced early summer. Hope to be in production by late fall 2009."
Word on the street is that "Office" writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have been hired to do the script to bring together the oringinal Ghostbusters - Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson - with new and younger cast memebers as well. Apparently all parties, including longtime holdout Bill Murray, are interested in donning the jumpsuits one more time.
I am pretty stoked for this. Recently i have watched the ghostbusters, and they are funny as crap. Bill Murray is amazing in them. Orignally Dan Aykroyd wrote the movie along with his pal John Belushi because they were both obbseed with the paranormal world and ghosts. Recently, he did a movie called "Dan Aykrod, Unplugged on UFO's" Sadly enough i saw it, and it was a joke. But back to Ghostbusters, of course the film came out different than what they originally had in mind, and Aykroyd was told to rewrite it before it could be put into production.

  1. I have seen the older one and it was pretty good. Hope new one will come out soon and I will wait for it. Hope this will be far better than the older one and do have a unique interesting concept too.
